1. Am I a First Responder or an Individual/Student?
First Responders are those learners who are employed, or are being trained, by Police Departments, Fire Departments, Emergency Medical Agencies, Emergency Management Agencies, Public Health Offices, etc. These are the people who would be the first on the scene in an emergency incident.
Individuals/Students are those who are seeking training for their own learning goals, or as part of a class through an educational institution.
2. What is Google Checkout and why do I have to use it?
Google Checkout is an online merchant account system. By implementing Google checkout, we are better able to track customer orders and respond to billing issues. Using Google Checkout also allows for full confidentiality by guaranteeing all billing data remains only on highly secured servers.
3. Are my Google Checkout username and password the same as my Visual Purple username and password?
No. Google Checkout will ask that you set up an account with them to pay for the simulations. The username and password you establish with Google can be used any time you buy any product using Google Checkout in the future. Visual Purple requires a separate username and password to access your simulations.
4. My username/password stopped working or doesn't seem to work at all. What do I do?
Accounts remain valid for six (6) months, after which they are automatically deactivated. You do have the option of renewing your account for an additional six (6) months from the date of expiration. Please visit the Buy Now page for more details. If you have recently signed up and your User ID/Password is not working, please email support at Help@visualpurple.com
5. It is hard to hear the sound, how do I turn the volume up?
Sound volume is controlled through your own computer. On Windows PCs, sound settings can be found in the 'Control Panel/Sound and Audio Devices'. On Macs sound can be adjusted using the keys with the sound icon on your keyboard, or in the 'Preferences' menu. For Linux users, please consult your OS documentation.
6. I have installed Flash Player and Adobe Reader but the simulations still won't play. Help!
This is most likely caused by a firewall blocking the connection. Please make sure you are NOT blocking ports 1935, 443, or port 80. Consult your firewall documentation or System Administrator for help unblocking ports.
7. My Save / Restore points are not being updated correctly. I have to restart the simulation from the beginning each time I play!
If you are having difficulty accessing the Save / Restore features, please contact support at Help@visualpurple.com
8. What other Visual Purple simulations are offered online?
Currently we are offering only the ICS series for online play. Please check back often as we plan to offer more online titles as they become available.
