Our Name

Visual Purple: Our name is not soon forgotten nor is our all-seeing eye logo.

Meaning is always driven by perspective. For instance, our friends in Special Operations Forces immediately equate the name with survival because visual purple—rhodopsin—a highly light sensitive pigment found in the retina of the eye that enables vision and thus survival in low-light conditions.

Similarly, Visual Purple sees learners’ real needs and subsequently those individuals see through Visual Purple to achieve understanding.

At Visual Purple we strongly desire to make a positive difference in this world. We believe that can only happen with understanding. Our simulations put people in worlds and cause experiences that change the way they think and act: ultimately gaining insight and understanding. This is why the “Understand Everything” tagline chose us.
